Plan B for Being the Next Top Author

There are many ways you can look at WINNING... Nope. I didn't "win" the "Next Top Author" book contest. Was I disappointed? Of course! I travelled to Chicago to attend the "Celebrate Your Life" conference, hoping that when the winner of the "Next Top Author" contest was announced, the name I would hear would be mine. I did not hear my name...

I had been feeling that strong "knowing" for weeks that I had won the contest. Yes! It would be my name they would announce. I could see it. I could feel it. I was there...accepting my prize.

Alas, the outcome was not what I wanted. It was not what I was "sure" it would be.

Unless...

Unless we agree that "winning" takes many forms.

Could it be that winning this contest is more about how I now respond to the disappointment, how I now put the pressure on myself to complete the book without the external pressure impossed by the deadline of the contest and terms of the contract? Ah! Is it possible this is my opportunity to experience what "winning" is really about: persisting when it is hard, completing the job when there is no guarantee of the outcome.

Stay tuned... I will be posting portions of the book for you to share, on this exciting journey.

You and I are indeed AGELESS & SEXY!

I have some stories to tell you....

Tomorrow...

Gnite and sweet dreams,
Sheila
